Olympic National Park-Staircase Rapids Loop

With the rainy season upon us in Washington, I've been dying to get out and about. We got lucky this past weekend with a rain-free overcast day. So, we decided to drive out to the Olympic National Park for a short hike near Lake Cushman.

Surprisingly, the hike was rather relaxing. Perfect for those days where you don't want to build up endurance and just immerse yourself into the forest.  The trail leads you along the beautiful North Fork Skokomish River. Eventually, you'll end up crossing the river on a gorgeous suspension bridge.

It is said that that trail is 4 miles round trip, but it felt like much less. I feel like we only spent an hour or so exploring, which was okay because we did have other chores to be done that day. We definitely will make a trip back soon!
